Create Your First Check

A check is a shareable bug report. Crosscheck captures one in a click — as a screenshot, screen recording, or instant replay — with console logs, network requests, and a user-action timeline attached automatically. Make sure you've installed the extension and signed in first.

Check types at a glance

Screenshot

Static UI bugs, layout issues, visual regressions

Screen Recording

Multi-step bugs, interaction flows, animations

Instant Replay

Unexpected bugs you did not plan to record

Create a check in 4 steps

1

Open the extension on the buggy page

Navigate to the page, then click the Crosscheck icon in your toolbar.

2

Pick a capture mode

  • Screenshot — visible area, full page, or a selected region (with an optional 0 / 3 / 5s delay).
  • Screen Recording — current tab or full screen, with optional mic and camera.
  • Instant Replay — grab the last 1–5 minutes. Enable it per site first (popup toggle or Settings).
3

Annotate or trim

Mark up screenshots with arrows, text, and blur (for sensitive data), or trim recordings to the part that matters. See Annotation & Markup for the full toolbar.

4

Create & copy link

Set visibility, project, and tags in the side panel, then click Create & copy link. The check opens in a new tab and is saved to your dashboard. Done.

What's next?
Share the link with your team, push it to Jira or ClickUp, or let a developer debug it with AI via MCP.
